I can't believe time has gone so quickly. A lot has happened in the past 3 weeks. Brian has gone back to school and is now settled in. He loves his new dorm, he now has a living room and a bedroom and they are huge! We're still working on the interior decorations, but this is a huge improvement from last year! He has one roommate, Martin who is from Germany and plays on the baseball team with him. Brian is an RA this year, so he's working hard on keeping his room clean, especially since he has to monitor everyone else!!
Joseph will be sworn in this week and be an official Atlanta Police Officer. We will take pictures in his full uniform and I'll post them later this week. Please pray for God's protection as he goes out on the streets, and as his daddy says, "pray for the people on the streets because they don't have a clue what they're in for!" He's very proud of Joseph as am I, and we know he'll make a great officer.
Michael is continuing with football practice and his apprenticeship. He's working on a special project involving the nuclear reactor on the submarine. He's welding the hole that will close up the reactor in its chamber. This is a very special process and he had to pass a difficult test to be able to work on it. There are only 2 people working on this and it has to be perfect. If there are any defects in the weld, it could cost millions of dollars to repair. Every inch of the 40 foot diameter hole has to be ultra sound tested to insure it's perfect. Pray for him as he does this and continues to play football.
Makaila and Sai are doing great! She weighed 9 1/2 pounds last week at 1 month. That's a gain of almost 3 pounds in the first month!
Isn't she adorable? She mesmerizes you, you just can't quit staring at her. Her papa says she should be a baby model. We're not prejudiced at all! Sai is a great mom! She works really hard and does a great job. The lactation specialist praised her for doing such a great job nursing and how rich her milk is. Makaila, however, does have a bit of colic and it takes all of us to get her through her fussy times, but she's well worth it. Every evening when Joseph comes home, she smiles at him. It is the most precious thing I've ever seen! Sai says when she wakes up in the morning and sees her, she smiles also. I get a smile occasionally, but she save most of them for her mommy and daddy!
