Thanksgiving's Come and Gone, Christmas is on the Way

It's hard to believe Thanksgiving is over already. November has been a very busy month. Mommy, Daddy, Joshua, Nai Nai and I went to ride the Pink Pig at Lenox Mall. NaiNai told us that she took Daddy to ride it when he was my age. Then it was at downtown Rich's and rode around the great tree that sat on top of the department store.

See the picture? That's the car my daddy rode in. NaiNai had to get in it with him. She said it was a tight squeeze. Then Atai told us that Papa also rode in it when he was little. Maybe next year Joshua will be big enough to ride.

While we were there, NaiNai tried to get me to go see Santa. I told her he scares me. So I didn't go. Then, Daddy took me to Toys r Us while Mommy and NaiNai shopped. I wasn't ready to go when Daddy was, so I let him know (and everyone else in the store) that I wasn't ready to go. That did not make him very happy.

Well, the next week, NaiNai took me to spend the day with her. We went to McDonald's and then to Toys r Us. Daddy told her she was making a mistake, but she told him she knew what she was doing. Imagine, she let me look at every toy in the store. We even played with some of them. I loved the dinosaurs and the animals the best. They even sell princess hair there. But I told NaiNai I didn't need it because I have my own. Well, Nai Nai said it was time to go because we were going to see Santa. I think she even bought my Christmas present while I was there, but I didn't pay any attention. I was so excited, I left the store happy and jumping and skipping.

NaiNai called Daddy and told him how much fun we were having. He couldn't believe I didn't cry when we left the store. She told him we were going to see Santa, he told her "That will never happen." Well, see, NaiNai explained to me that Santa was just a man in a funny red suit with white hair like Papa's. That made me laugh, so I wasn't afraid any more, and I went to see him.

When Nai Nai told Daddy how much fun I had and that I sat on Santa's lap, all he said was "Hmm." Atai told Daddy not to doubt NaiNai because she knew what she was doing. Yep, she does!

Then it was Thanksgiving. Uncle Michael and Brian came home. We went to the York family reunion and had a good time. You can see the pictures at my website. (if you aren't a member, just ask NaiNai if you can join so you can see all my cute pictures!). Anyway, then NaiNai took me to Alabama to see Mamma and Papa Jones. They are doing well considering all they've been through. Mamma's leg is still not healing very fast and Papa fell and twisted his ankle. Aunt Karen and her family came to cook Thanksgiving dinner for them. We all had a good time. This was the first time I had been away from Mommy and Daddy. I didn't cry at all. I whined a little the second night, but I had to. Otherwise, Mommy and Daddy wouldn't think I missed them :)'

On Sunday, we went Christmas tree hunting. We were going to chop down our own tree and we looked at so many. It's funny, because Mommy and Daddy decided they liked the ones that were already cut, the Douglas firs. They don't grow here, so we couldn't cut them down. We had fun anyway. Now I have my tree up and am getting ready for Christmas.

I pray you all have a wonderful Christmas season. I know I will. And then, in January we are going to visit my family in Thailand for two months. I will miss NaiNai and Papa very much and I know they will miss me too, but I will be back, then we can play and shop and do all the things we like to do. God bless everyone!

Well, Halloween has come and gone. I have had a busy couple of months. I started preschool and am having a great time there. My daddy is making lots of big arrests with the police department. Mommy is taking care of Joshua and I. Joshua is growing so big, he's laughing and trying so hard to talk. He's so cute! I know he will be rolling over soon and scooting around everywhere. I was a princess for Halloween and really enjoyed myself. NaiNai and Papa took me to see the Blue Angels air show. We sat on top of the parking deck at NaiNai's work and it was really loud! The airplanes came right over my head!

Uncle Brian had a good Fall baseball season. He got picked to play in a Fall allstar game for his conference in front of MLB scouts. He did really well. Uncle Michael is coming home for Thanksgiving. We can't wait to see him! He is doing really well at work and they don't want him to take off, but he's worked hard and deserves it.

Most of you probably know that Mamma Jones had quadruple bypass surgery. She is doing really well now, although it has been a tough 6 weeks. She is having more trouble with the leg they took a vein out of than her heart, but it is healing. Thank you for all your prayers, and keep praying. Also, they have had a couple of people looking at their house. Pray that it sells soon and they can move close to me so I can help take care of her!

Atai and Papa York are doing well. Atai loves to cook for us almost every Monday. It is one of my favorite nights, because I get to be around so many people I love. Check out Makaila Li and her Family's shutterfly sight to see new pictures. God bless and take care!

I'm Back!

Wow, it has been a long time, hasn't it? People keep telling NaiNai that they miss her blog, so I finally convinced her to write an update. Where do I start? I guess I will start with me. I am now three years old! Yes, I am spoiled, but not too bad. I will start preschool in two weeks and cannot wait. I love Ni Hao Kailan and all kinds of animals. Nai Nai still loves to take my picture. The link to my family photo site is posted here under links. If you are not a member there, just request to be added and you can see all the latest and best pictures of the family and their escapades. My, how our family has grown. I have a new baby brother, Joshua born 7-2-10. He is so cute and is growing so much. I really love him, although at first I might have been just a little jealous, but I have gotten over it for the most part.

Daddy is still working for the Atlanta Police Dept. and is really doing a good job of putting the bad guys in jail. He has been officer of the week, officer of the month two times and gotten many recognitions. He loves my family very much and works very hard for us so Mommy can stay home and take care of Joshua and me. Mommy does a very good job of taking care of us. She is teaching me Chinese so I can speak to her family and I can speak English to my daddy's family. Joshua will learn Chinese also. NaiNai likes to take his picture too, so I know she will have many more in the future.

NaiNai had surgery on her shoulder this summer, so she was out of commission for a bit. She tripped over the dog, Sassie, and hurt her shoulder in December. The doctor finally said he needed to fix it. She still has to go to therapy two times every week, but it is getting stronger. Pretty soon she will be able to pick me up like she used too. She says Joshua is too heavy and she can only hold him for a little while. He's growing too fast.

Uncle Michael graduated from Newport News Apprentice School in February. He got special awards also. He is working as a supervisor building aircraft carriers and is still living in Virginia. NaiNai and Papa miss him very much, but they are very proud of him. He still loves to fish, but doesn't get to spend as much time fishing as he would like. Hopefully we will get to see him over the holidays.

Uncle Brian is finishing his last year of college at Truett McConnell in Cleveland, GA. He played baseball this summer with the Douglasville Bulls. They are in the Sunbelt League which is a collegiate wood bat league. He did a really good job and hit five home runs. One of them was in the championship game. They came in second place, but NaiNai and Papa are very proud of him also. There is also a link to the Douglasville Bulls photo site if you want to see pictures.

Cousin Daniel and Michelle had a baby on May 24. His name is Jacob Daniel. He is very cute and growing very big also. NaiNai can't wait until she can get the two of them together to take their pictures. I think we will see them Labor Day, so there should be plenty of photo ops there. Daniel is back in school and working, and Michelle is working also. Cousin Patrick got his driver's license and has a job and Lauren is still in school. She and Daniel are both at Kennesaw University. Cousin Natalie is at the University of Tennessee. Clark and Meredith are still in high school. Jonathan, Jeremy and Juliann are doing well also.
Well, it's my bedtime, so I'd better sign off. Please check out the pictures and I promise I will make sure NaiNai does a better job of keeping you updated on what's going on in my family! God bless, Love you.
