On the Move

Hi folks! It's been a while since you've heard from me. I've been very busy. I am walking (running!) everywhere and into everything! My mommy and daddy are keeping busy. Daddy's catching lots of bad guys and mommy's still teaching Chinese to pre-schoolers. Nana and Ati took me shopping for shoes a couple of weeks ago, and we had a great time. I saw the salesman getting boxes off the shelf and he knocked some over. I thought, "That looks like fun!", so I proceeded to pull as many boxes off the shelves as possible before Nana could stop me!

Uncle Michael is getting ready for his last season of football and Nana and Papa will go see him play in a couple of weeks. He made it through the storm Hanna without a problem. His power was out for a while, but he didn't have any damage.

Uncle Brian moved to his apartment at the University of West GA and has started working out with the baseball team. He told Nana they had their first batting practice on the field last week and he hit several home runs. He is very excited to be back playing again.

Nana went to Tennessee with Papa & Mamma Jones for the family reunion. She said it was really good to see family she hasn't seen in a while. She took my pictures to show everyone since I didn't go with her. She wanted to take me, but then she remembered the shoe store adventure and she decided she would go without me this time. I don't understand why! I am such a sweetheart and I never get into trouble! Oh well, maybe next time.

Nana made a dvd for my first birthday and I love to watch it. It has my favorite songs and pictures of my first year! This is me holding it. When I go to Nana's house, she and Papa let me watch Barney or my dvd or whatever I want and we all sing and dance with the music. Yes, even Papa danced with Barney the other day! I wish Nana had her video camera out for that one! Hope all is well with you. Keep in touch. Also, Nana put up some new pictures on my Shutterfly page. Just follow the link and you can see pictures of my cousin Natalie's graduation, Daniel's wedding and the Tennesee trip. Love ya'll!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yesteday was my first birthday, and we had a party tonight! I am 1 year old!!!! The party was great, and I got lots of presents and had good cake Atai (great grandma York) made me. They told me to eat it, but at first I wasn't sure what to do. Later, I caught on.

I sure did make a mess, but it was good!!!!! I had lots of friends and family there. Daddy grilled hamburgers and hotdogs, Nana made potato salad, Apau (Mommy's Mom) made chinese pork. It was great!

My Daddy's cousin Daniel got married on May 17 to Michelle. Isn't she a beautiful bride? My daddy was the preacher and married them. I got to wear my Chinese dress just like my mommy. Aren't we beautiful?

All of my family are doing well. My Mommy is working teaching Chinese to preschool children and Daddy is still a police officer. Uncle Michael is still in Virginia building boats and Brian is teaching baseball camps and getting ready to go back to school. I hope you enjoy reading about my family. I sure do love them and they love me too!

Beach Time

I took my first trip to the beach last week. At first I wasn't sure about all the sand, wind and water, but eventually I had fun. I went with my Mommy & Daddy, Apau (my Chinese Grandma), Great Grandma & Grandpa York, Uncle Brian, Aunt Debby and cousin Ros. We found lots of shells and made sand castles.

Uncle Brian moved home from college for the summer. He will be helping to coach the high school baseball team and work with summer camps at the local baseball academy. He will be busy all summer working on getting back in shape after his surgery. He made all A's this semester and has made the Dean's list all four semesters that he's been going to college. He wants to be a teacher/coach when he grows up, and I think he will do a good job.

I went to my first wedding shower. Daddy's cousin Daniel will be getting married next Saturday to Michelle Rudisail. Daddy will be performing the ceremony. A lot of my extended family will be in town for the wedding and my Nana will be busy taking pictures and videos and making sure everyone gets to the wedding on time.

Uncle Michael will be coming home for the wedding also. He has been working hard and also practicing football. I know he will be excited to see me because I've grown so much since he saw me last.

As you can see, my Aunt Becky has been taking more pictures of me. Visit her website via the link on my page and see the great work she's been doing. I think I'm her best model, and so does Nana.

Daddy got an award at work for catching some bad guys who were breaking into people's cars. We are all very proud of him. Every time Nana hears something on the news about an Atlanta Police officer in his zone, she calls to make sure he's OK. Nana loves her boys very much, and now she loves me very much too.

I'll be sure we put new pictures up next week from the wedding. Keep in touch and God bless you all!

I'm Back!!!!

Well, it took a while, but I finally convinced my Nana to write an update. I told her people do want to know what's going on with me and my family. It seems unbelievable, but I am now 9 months old! This picture is old, (3 months) but a favorite of everyone, so I convinced Nana to put it on the blog. My hairstyle is natural, a gift from God. My first Christmas was exciting. My mom and dad bought a house and we moved in right before Christmas. Then, my mommy and my great grandma, Wanda, took me to Thailand to meet my mommy's family. Now that was something. My Nana cried when I left because she was going to miss me so much. I think my daddy cried too, because he couldn't go. He's still working with the Atlanta police and is really doing good. I loved seeing my mommy's family, meeting my aunts and uncle and grandma and grandpa. My grandpa carried me in a carrier on his back all around the village meeting all his friends. He didn't want to let me go because he loves me so much! I call my great grandma Wanda, Atai, (Chinese for father's grandmother). Anyway, Atai got sick because she drank some fresh orange juice the children in the village made for her. She had to go to the hospital for a few days, but the doctor gave her medicine and she got all better. My daddy surprised us and came for a visit while we were there. I thought my mommy was going to faint! We stayed for two more weeks after he left and then we came home and brought my mommy's mom home with us. She will stay with us for one year and then we will take her back home to Thailand. I love having her here, because I get to see both my grandma's and because she spoils me also! As you can see, my hair stopped standing up, but I'm just as cute as ever! I'm crawling now and pulling up, getting into everything. Boy, just wait until I start walking! Mommy just thinks I'm busy now.

Uncle Michael came for a visit in March. He's still doing good building submarines and Navy ships. He wants to come back home when he's finished with school, but isn't sure he'll find as good a job here as he can have in Virginia. Nana and Papa want him to come home also, but know he will have better opportunities in Virginia. They know he will make the right decision when the time comes. He will play football one more year. He made the Academic All America Team this year again. Not only is he big and strong, he's smart too!

Uncle Brian is not playing baseball this Spring. He broke his wrist last fall and had to have surgery in January. He is healing and the doctor said he can play again this Summer. Luckily before he found out he wasn't going to get to play this year, he signed a full scholarship to the University of West Georgia. He starts there in the fall and will have 3 years of eligibility because of his injury. He's excited about that!

I got to wear my first Easter bonnet this year! I was as cute as ever:). Nana gave me an Easter basket, and of course I was more interested in the grass inside the basket than the treats she had for me! Mama and Papa Jones came for Easter and we all went to Atai's house for lunch! It was great having almost all of my American family together at one time, and my Chinese grandmother was there too!

My daddy took us to our first Brave's game. My mommy and both my grandma's went with us! I didn't like the loud noise at first, but then I got used to it. There was so much going on, I have never seen so many people and heard so much noise. My Nana really like the game alot, she yelled once and made me cry. I thought something was wrong with her! But then she held me and told me it was ok, so I laughed!

I'd better go for now. Hopefully, my Nana will do better in the future about keeping you all updated! Write her and let her know if you have any questions or just want to say Hi!. She said she's going to put more pictures on my picture website as well, so check the link and see if she really does! Let her know if you want to see more of me and my family's adventures!

Love you!!!
