Mikey's Home!

The Big Boy is home for a short visit! He came home Thursday night and it has been so good to see him. As you can see, he's sporting some new artwork!

He is very proud of his heritage and faith and wants to share it with the world! That's my story and I'm sticking to it! Michael is and always has been his own person, and we are proud of who he has become. He never let's others influence him, and makes his own decisions. His work/school and football are all going well. He plans on setting a personal record in weight lifting this week. He says he will bench press over 500 pounds next week! I can't imagine.

Michael gave himself his new haircut. He used mirrors and clippers. While I'm not crazy about it, I have to admire it because he did such a good job. The lines are perfectly straight and even. He said welding with mirrors gave him the ability and he was bored one day and decided to cut it. One thing for sure, Michael is never boring!

Joseph and Sai got in on the photo opp! Aren't they cute! Joseph and Michael were sucking in their stomachs, but Sai couldn't! She is getting bigger and bigger all the time. Makaila is growing and moving and we're getting so excited! Brian couldn't be home this weekend because they are in South Georgia playing Andrew College. He just called and said they won both games today and will play one more tomorrow. Next weekend is the playoffs! I'll be going to Barnesville for the games and will let you know how they do.
We are proud of all of our boys! They remain true to themselves and who they were brought up to be. God is so good and blesses us beyond comprehension. Keep in touch, and God bless.

Where Has the Time Gone?

It seems like yesterday my boys were dressing up, playing cops and robbers or army. Now look at Joseph in his uniform! No, he doesn't have all the badges or paraphernalia yet, but this is not dress up anymore, this is the real deal! Not only that, look at Sai! I can't believe it's only a little over three months till the baby comes. Joseph is doing well at the academy, passing all of his tests with flying colors. I reminded him he could have done that in college if he had wanted to, but the difference was, he didn't really want to. Now he does, and has to because he has a family to take care of. Before I blink, he will have his weapons and car and be on the road, and I'll be at home helping with little Makaila. That's one positive way to look at it!

Brian and Michael are doing well. There are just two weeks left in the regular baseball season, and then the playoffs. His team is still doing well, and I believe they have a chance to win the division, if they will stay focused. As you can see, we took a road trip to Chattanooga. It was a great day for baseball, but unfortunately, the boys didn't think so and didn't play to their potential (5 errors!) and lost. Brian didn't have any errors, but was very frustrated with his teammates performance! Hopefully they're back on track, they won 2/3 this past weekend. I'll be going to Barnesville for the upcoming games, the last ones at home. But not to worry, because when college ball is over, Brian will be coming home for the summer and is already scheduled to begin American Legion ball the middle of May! It just keeps on going and going, like the Energizer Bunny. I love it and can't wait to see him play whenever I can. I only wish Michael was closer so I could get to all of his games! But, he'll be home next weekend for a visit, so I can't wait to see him then! He supposedly has some new artwork to display, and I'll be sharing that with you as well.
My niece, Lauren will be graduating the end of May, and I guess that will be the next big family get together. I'll be sure to keep you updated on all the festivities.

Spring??

Well, what happened to Spring? Two weeks ago at the ballgame it was almost 90 degrees. This weekend I don't think it got above 50. Man, it was cold, but Brian's team won 2 games out of 3 against Young Harris who is usually the state's powerhouse. Gordon is currently ranked #9 in the nation and doing great!! Tomorrow they will be in Chattanooga playing the current #1 team in the nation. My mother-in-law, Wanda, and I will be taking a road trip! They have already beat Chattanooga twice, so hopefully they will do well tomorrow! This is a picture from this weekend against Young Harris. My baby's not much of a baby anymore :{

Before the freeze hit, I decided to take some pictures of my flowers. Since I was off work Friday, I spent the morning with my flowers and my new found friend, Bob, the bumblebee. I followed him around taking his photo for about 15 minutes. He didn't seem to mind, I think he was too busy eating! But I do believe he finally saw me, and the look he gave says it all!

Unfortunately, my azaleas are not quite so vibrant anymore, and I haven't seen Bob around. However, I'm sure he, or one of his relatives will return when the warm weather returns!

As promised, here's a new photo of Sai. As you can see, she is blossoming also :) She goes for her next check up this Thursday. I'll give another report then. Joseph is still doing well at the police academy. I can't believe the baby will be here in three months. Time is truly going faster the older I get. It seems like yesterday that I was getting ready for Joseph's grand appearance. They will be using the baby bed that David built for him. Notice I said "use". It is a treasure that I want all my grandchildren to enjoy, just as all my children did. Once they get it all set up, I'll let you see!

Have a great week, and I'll be in touch soon!
